How did we get the name Wall Street?  Who wrote the theme song for “The Daily Show”?  What country has the most Olympic medals that has never hosted the games?  All that and more with Adam’s Fun Facts:

1. Wall Street got its name in the 17th century when Dutch settlers built a 12-foot wall to defend themselves from pirates and Native Americans. (Live Science)

2. A blue whale’s tongue can weigh as much as an elephant, and their heart can weigh as much as a car. (National Geographic)

3. The theme song for the “Daily Show” was created by the band They Might Be Giants. (TMBW)

4. J.D. Salinger’s girlfriend left him in 1942 and married Charlie Chaplin. Her name was Oona O’Neill, and her father was Eugene O’Neill, the famous playwright. (Wikipedia)

5. Of all the countries that have never hosted an Olympics, Hungary has won the most medals.  They’ve won 476 medals in the Summer Olympics and six in the Winter Olympics. (Wikipedia)
