According to experts, airfare will get much cheaper come September and October and Americans should take notice.

The Huffington Post reports that prices may look inexpensive now, but they’ll get much cheaper by October where flight prices will have dropped 8.2 percent from their current levels to an average $213 per domestic round-trip, according to travel analysts at Hopper.

However, this is nothing new. Airfare prices always drop coming out of peak travel time in the summer, and prices drop to entice more fall travel.

It is suggested to book air travel 54 days in advance of domestic air travel to avoid high costs and to get the best seat.

Prices begin to creep back up in November, so if you’re looking for a cheap deal, October seems to be the target for the best prices.
