Hurricane Watch Posted For Western Gulf Coast Of Florida

Tropical Depression 9 is getting better organized as of 5pm on Tuesday, August 30th, thus prompting a hurricane watch to be posted from just north of Tampa to Apalachicola in the panhandle of Florida.

A hurricane watch means hurricane conditions are possible within 48 hours.

The current forecast for TD9 is for it to be a strong tropical storm at landfall which is predicted to be sometime Thursday from Tampa to Apalachicola.

Impacts in Orlando include heavy rain, gusty winds of 30mph and potential tornadoes.
