How did Kryptonite come to be in Superman’s life?  What kind of fish is the Filet-O-Fish made out of?  Why were sheep moved from Central Park?  What did the White House briefing room used to be?  All that and more with Adam’s Fun Facts:

1. Kryptonite was invented by the people behind the Superman radio show in 1943, so Superman could just groan in pain for a few episodes . . . and the voice actor who played him could finally take a vacation. (Wikipedia)

2. There were sheep in Central Park in New York until 1934, when the city had them moved so people wouldn’t EAT them during the Great Depression. (Wikipedia)

3. The fish in McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish is called hoki. It’s a fish that’s really ugly to look at, from the coast of New Zealand. (New York Times)

4. The press briefing room in the White House used to be an indoor swimming pool. It was installed in 1933, but Nixon had it converted to the press room in 1970. (White House Museum)

5. The movie “Scream” was originally going to be called “Scary Movie”. (Wikipedia)
