How much money do grocery stores make a year from impulse, check out line item purchases?  What does “STENDEC” mean?  What was the last state to make the legal drinking age 21 and what year did they do it?  It’s Adam’s Fun Facts:

1. Microsoft put Solitaire and Minesweeper in early versions of Windows to teach people how to use the mouse and click. (Softpedia)

2. Grocery stores sell a total of $5.5 billion worth of “impulse buy” items in the checkout line every single year. (New York Times)

3. Wyoming was the last state to change its legal drinking age to 21. They didn’t make that the law until July of 1988. (Wikipedia)

4. In 1947, a plane carrying 11 people crashed over the Andes mountains in Argentina. Before crashing, they sent the word “STENDEC” in Morse code. The full wreckage has never been found and no one knows what STENDEC means. (Wikipedia)
