If you haven’t heard by now, then I’m sorry to break the news to you, but La Nouba by Cirque Du Soleil is currently entering its final days with a final bow to be taken on December 31st.

Now, this closure isn’t exactly breaking news, as the show has been running in the same location for 19 years.

Disney Springs has undergone a transformation from Downtown Disney, which was centered on entertainment and nightlife, to a more family friendly atmosphere of dining, shopping, and entertainment.

The Cirque location is prime as it is a massive location close to the House Of Blues and former Disney Quest location which is slated to become an NBA experience of sorts in the coming year.

But what will happen with the Cirque du Soleil location? Will it simply be replaced with a new show or is the venue being completely torn down?

There are a million things that could happen with that location, after all, we’re dealing with the best of the best here…Disney.

So, here are 5 things I would like to see replace Cirque at Disney Springs.

“Broadway At Disney Springs”: A completely redesigned space offering limited run Disney stage shows. There is currently no place offering Broadway style shows night after night anywhere except for, well, Broadway. And to wait for your favorite stage show to make it’s way on tour to the Dr Phillips Center takes forever it seems. Disney has the ability to offer something totally new and exciting and retell the stories of the famed princesses and heroes night after night. Imagine it, your favorite Broadway musicals such as “The Lion King,” “Beauty And The Beast,” “Frozen,” “Cinderella,” and so many more! This gets the highest place on my list because of the possibilities for Disney to really dig into their roots and tell the story of what made them famous.

“Cirque Du Soleil: TORUK” – This is the Avatar inspired Cirque show that would be perfect timing with the new Avatar films set to come by director James Cameron and the soon-to-open, Pandora: Land Of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s no secret that Cirque is a big hit at Disney Springs, and this would coincide nicely with what is yet to come to Disney with Pandora and the new films. It only makes sense and would require a simple refresh of the building and new sets.

“Virtual Reality Arcade” – Virtual reality is the next big thing in attractions. With many theme parks offering virtual reality versions of popular rides, Disney would do well to offer an entire venue of virtual reality with their famed characters, much like Disney Infinity. Video games are popular among Disney’s target demographic and it would offer a unisex attraction for boys and girls of all ages.

“Museum Of Disney” – This would be the most educational of the offerings I’ve come up with, but could also be the best. Disney is all about history, which is why it’s rare for an attraction to be torn down and replaced, unlike their competition. Walt Disney World is iconic around the globe, and an entire museum of Walt Disney and his life along with the ever changing history of Walt Disney World would be a perfect addition to Disney Springs. Yes, “One Man’s Dream” currently occupies space at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but it’s often forgotten and occupies space that could be used for a new dark ride that could house a famous water-themed princess named “Moana.”

“Animatears: Animate Yourself” – Like animate-ears…this would be the most niche of the offerings, but how neat would it be to be able to create your own Disney character? You could morph yourself into a princess or prince or dream up a new monster from Monster’s INC! And the end result is printed in a mock up with other Disney characters and allows you to take home your own design! Who knows? Maybe even the next animator would walk through the doors of “Animatears.”
