It, based on the Stephen King novel, first made a filmed splash as a 2 episode mini-series in 1990. Starring, among others, Tim Curry, John Ritter, Richard Thomas, and a gang of junior thespians, it was a big hit.

Now, 27 years later, a new film based on the King novel will be hitting theaters in September. This time around, the creepy clown Pennywise will be played by Bill Skarsgård, taking over the costume first inhabited by Tim Curry.

Take a look above at the brand new teaser trailer for the film that will be released on September 8.
