The City of Orlando flag is more than 25 years old and they decided it’s time to freshen-up the look! So, they put it out to Central Florida residents to re-design the flag and the 950 entries have been narrowed down to 10 and they need your vote!

Until April 17th, you can cast your vote for one of the ten finalists. Once the votes are counted, the flag committee will review the results and make a final suggestion to the city council. So, if you want your vote counted, you can visit or click HERE to vote.

Here are the guidelines and tips the City of Orlando suggested for the new design:

“For the new flag, the City is seeking a design that follows the five principles of good flag design as outlined by the North American Vexillological Association, an organization devoted to the scientific and scholarly study of flags. These principles include:”

Keep it simple.
Use meaningful symbolism.
Use two to three basic colors.
No lettering or seals.
Be distinctive or be related.
