With the success of Disney’s most recent animated film, ‘Moana,’ many are wondering where the south pacific princess would fit in the theme parks.

Well, Disney could very well resurrect an attraction that had been rumored for years!

Theme park fans are speculating that a new attraction could be coming to the Adventureland area of the Magic Kingdom and house a ‘Moana’ roller coaster.

Thekingdominsider blog wrote about how Disney could be looking at “Fire Mountain,” a shelved attraction as the basis for this new Moana attraction.

The original “Fire Mountain” was set to be an expansion of the now closed ‘20,000 Leagues Under The Sea’ in Adventureland that sat facing the Polynesian Resort.

If you remember in ‘Moana,’ the “villain” was a walking volcano.

With the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World approaching, new rides and attractions have been announced for every park except The Magic Kingdom. Could this be the perfect fit?

Again, this is all speculation, but it would be cool if it came true!
