I can assure you, that at one time or another you’ve taken a ride on the Tomorrowland’s People Mover at The Magic Kingdom.
I can also guess that you probably loved not having to walk for almost 7 minutes as you were taken in and out of different attractions and you used it as a “break” from sweating and getting blisters on your feet.
We’ve all been there and done it for whatever the reason may be, but I’ll argue until I’m blue in the face that the People Mover is the best attraction at Disney World because of many reasons.
One being its usually small wait time. On any given day, you’ll be able to walk right on this attraction with a little to no wait. Maybe during peak summer months will the wait exceed 15 minutes, but even at that, it’s nothing compared to Space Mountain or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which usually runs well over an hour.
Secondly, The People Mover is an attraction for all ages. Little kids can ride the futuristic train and parents can rest their feet. Win, win.
Thirdly, it’s accessible to most body types. I haven’t ever seen anyone denied entry into the People Mover for being too big or too frail.
For those reasons alone, it’s one of the most underrated attractions and in my opinion, the best ride on property.
Sure, it’s not a roller coaster or a cutting edge dark ride, but it has just enough to get you excited about going through Space Mountain aka into the A/C.
