Here’s the latest info regarding school closures from area Central Florida counties…
Orange County is closed Tuesday, 9/12 and a decision regarding additional closure days will be made later this afternoon after officials meet.
Seminole County is closed today and tomorrow (9/12 & 9/13).
Osceola County is closed 9/12. No additional info regarding Wednesday was offered yet, but parents are encouraged to check http://www.OsceolaSchools.net for updates.
UCF is closed through Wednesday according to The Orlando Sentinel and students are encouraged to check their email for updates regarding classes resuming.
Volusia and Flagler remain closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Lake County schools are closed today and a decision about additional closures will be made later this afternoon.
According to the Polk County Public Schools website: “Due to widespread power outages and school sites that are serving as shelters, Polk County public schools will remain closed until Monday, Sept. 18. Friday, Sept. 15, is tentatively planned to be treated as a teacher workday. This means district staff, teachers and anyone else who normally works on teacher work days should report to work.”

Sumter County schools are closed Tuesday. According to their website, “Schools will closed on Monday 11th, and Tuesday the 12th. 250 day employees should report to work on Tuesday. Website will be updated as more information becomes available.”
