I’m sobbing a bit while writing this up.

I remember when this season’s America’s Got Talent first started, and I saw 13 year old Evie Clair perform. I remember it because she sang one of my favorite songs ‘Arms’ by Christina Perri. When she told everyone she chose that song for her father, it stuck even more. She would sing that song to her father while he was laying in his room battling colon cancer, in hopes it would make him feel a bit better.

She auditioned in June. It is now almost the end of September, and Evie’s father has passed away earlier in the month. Despite her heartache and sadness, Evie put on an emotional performance as a finalist last night on America’s Got Talent, and dedicated ‘What A Wonderful World’ to her father.

We’ll see what her future holds tonight, when AGT announce’s this season’s winner at 8pm.
