Its no secret that everyone wants to come to Central Florida.
Whether it be by air, car, train, bus, or ship, Central Florida is the tourism capital of the United States and one of the most visited areas in the world.
However, for locals, getting away is getting easier and easier with Orlando International Airports massive expansion underway and now it seems our cruise ship options may be getting bigger and better!
Well, at least the place they leave from is!
Port Canaveral has detailed a huge master plan to take the port from what it is today to what it can be by the year 2050!
The new plan includes adding more cruise terminals, deepening the channels for larger ships, adding more shopping, dining, and entertainment space. Adding massive cargo areas to increase the amount of cargo ships that come into the area and make Port Canaveral more accessible with more transit options.
The new master plan is split in multiple phases that will be spaced out (great pun eh?) over the next few decades.
