OK so I know it’s customary for people to put up their real or fake trees right after Thanksgiving. I guess it’s to get you into the Christmas spirit?
This year, Michael (the boyfriend) decided we need to at least get one the 1st week of December. We went out. Spent $40 bucks on the perfect (REAL-ALWAYS REAL) tree, we found in just 15 minutes. Brought it home and went to town on it. The cat’s love it too. PLUS, many places now make plastic ornaments. So win for us, because…cats. Although Maui and Dartagnon are good boys, they’re more interested in the garland. Because they’re fabulous.
In the mean time we did a bunch of holiday events to get us in the spirit, as well as attempt to not break any limbs by putting up Christmas lights on the roof.
Fast forward to 12/20/17 and we still haven’t purchased a tree for mom and dads house in Palm Bay. Why? Because my mom always loved getting it the week before Christmas. And she would keep it until the end of January. We love the smell and best of all , that same tree that was $40 the week before that, ended up being $5. 5 FRIGGEN DOLLARS FOR A REAL TREE. At this rate we could have a tree in each room, in different themes LOL, but we don’t and it turned out just as lovely as the one Michael and I got.
Don’t judge the tinsel… I HATE TINSEL…. my sister loves it.
