Living in Central Florida, with a great number of theme parks, there are plenty of ways to ring in the New Year each year…particularly if you like to herald the coming year with booming fireworks displays.
Check out a variety of ways below to celebrate the coming of 2018.
Walt Disney World Resort:
- Magic Kingdom: The “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks spectacular puts a close to 2017 and can be seen at 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31.
- Epcot: The World Showcase will feature DJs, live music, dancing and more will be found at the World Showcase along with fireworks at 11:40 p.m.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: A countdown to 2018 leads into “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” and the park will be open until 1 a.m.
Universal Orlando Resort: The NYE celebration starts runs until 12:30 AM and includes fireworks and confetti at midnight.
New Year’s Eve at Universal Orlando CityWalk: Universal CityWalk will ring in 2018 with EVE. There will be signature drinks, six CityWalk clubs with live DJs and bands, and unlimited gourmet cuisine including fresh seafood, roasted sirloin and tenderloin. Must be at least 21 or older to attend and ticket prices range from $125.99 to $224.99
SeaWorld Orlando: You’ll find fireworks, a musical celebration and more at SeaWorld.
New Year’s Eve Party on Church Street: The Chillers, Cahoots, and Latitudes street party includes the “Big Orange” drop along with a video wall displaying the Times Square countdown. Admission begins at $39.
Legoland Kid’s New Year’s Eve: New Year’s Eve is all about the kids at Legoland. A giant Lego will drop as everyone counts down to kids’ “midnight,” 8 p.m. Then the biggest Legoland fireworks show of the year over Lake Eloise.
New Year’s Eve on Wall Street: Block Party features 8 venues, outdoor dance party and a light show. Advance tickets with admission to all venues starts at $25.
Enzian’s New Year’s Eve Party: James Bond themed party. Admission starts at $99 for open bar, light hors d’oeuvres and live DJ.
