Residents in every state were asked what their most popular food was and to be honest, I’m not sure they got it right for Florida.
Buzzfeed asked residents in all 50 states about their most popular food and most voted for their signature food. For example, bagels in New York, deep dish pizza in Illinois, cheesesteaks in Pennsylvania, you get it.
However, some states said much more obscure foods, like a Norwegian flatbread called lefse in North Dakota and toasted ravioli in Missouri. Is that really what they’re known for? Here’s another weird one, Alaska said their #1 food is ice cream.
For Florida, apparently our most popular food is the Cuban sandwich. While I agree it is pretty popular, is that really our most popular food? I was thinking more along the lines of rock shrimp, Dana said something with oranges or even some type of BBQ.
