Remember back in the 90s when the fast-casual restaurant chain was dominated by delicious Italian food and not burritos and burrito bowls?
Well, after a hiatus, restructuring and now a positive growth cycle, the beloved chain Fazoli’s is back in the state of Florida with a brand new location in Plant City!
Yes, I know…that’s not really Orlando and I probably got your hopes up…but it’s a positive sign for people like me who miss Fazoli’s cheap Italian cuisine and endless bread sticks!
Growing up, my mom and I would eat there when my dad was bowling on Tuesday nights. We’d both get Fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli. It was delicious and our go to meal! And when dad did join us for dinner here, he’d get the lasagna.
So while the newest location is still a solid 35 minute drive from Orlando, it’s a sign that the chain is looking to break into the market again. And I’d drive that in a heartbeat for those warm, delicious bread sticks.
Here’s to hoping Fazoli’s decides to open in the happiest city on Earth. I’d welcome you with a bib, open arms, and an empty stomach!
