Here's to learning some Fun Facts about vodka, Paul McCartney and the world record times for women and men running one mile all wrapped up in one post called Adam's Fun Facts:

1. Paul McCartney wrote the song "Woman" for the group Peter and Gordon, but did it under the pseudonym "Bernard Webb" to prove his songs could be hits without his name attached.  The song wound up getting to #14 on the Billboard chart.

2.  Scientists estimate that there are a trillion different species on Earth but 99.999% haven't been discovered.  Meaning they're mostly microorganisms.

3.  No woman has ever run a mile in less than four minutes.  The women's world record is four minutes and 12 seconds.  The men's record is three minutes and 43 seconds.

4.  The guy who wrote Elizabeth Taylor's obituary for the "New York Times" died before SHE did.  He wrote it while she was still alive and he died in 2005.  She died in 2011.

5.  The word "vodka" comes from the Russian word "voda" which means water.
