Orlando's theme parks are constantly upping the ante on one another with new additions, renovations of beloved attractions, and new shows for guests to take in on their visits to the parks.

2019 promises to deliver some state-of-the-art attractions at the parks and I couldn't be more excited!

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Taking the place of the former Backlot Studio Tour, a new land dedicated to Star Wars will open in 2019 and undoubtedly push the attendance needle through the roof towards Hollywood Studios.

Attractions coming to this new land will include a Millennium Falcon attraction, multiple dining locations, shows, and other attractions based on popular Star Wars characters and scenes.

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge will open late fall 2019.

Harry Potter Roller Coaster - Universal's Islands Of Adventure

The boy who lived will have his own state-of-the-art roller coaster in the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade. The new family roller coaster takes the place of the former Dragon Challenge Roller Coaster (formerly Dueling Dragons).

The dueling coasters were removed late 2017 to make room for this new coaster that Universal is calling the most immersive coaster experience they have ever constructed.

The coaster will be part indoor and outdoor with surprise sections along the way and rumored to be set in the Forbidden Forest. It will be multi-launched and is said to be "family" oriented.

The Harry Potter coaster is set to open summer 2019.

Sesame Street Land - SeaWorld Orlando

This new land centered around Sesame Street and all of the beloved characters replaces Shamu's Happy Harbor.

The new area of the park will feature 6 family attractions, daily parades, new shops, and dining options.

Elmo and friends arrive at SeaWorld Orlando in 2019.

Kare Kare Curl - Aquatica Orlando

Hot on the heels of Ray Rush at Aquatica, the SeaWorld owned water park announced a new thrill slide set to open in 2019.

Kare Kare Curl will send two person rafts down a fast drop into a halfpipe like sequence that will sent riders up a zero-gravity wall and back again.

The new slide will open in 2019 in a section of Aquatica that is not currently occupied by any attractions.

Lego Movie World - Legoland Florida

One of the largest expansions ever at Legoland Florida is set to open in 2019.

The new land will be centered around the Lego Movie World with 3 new attractions, eateries, and character meet and greets.

The attractions include a flying theater, a drop ride, and a new water attraction all centered around Lego Movie characters and scenes.

The new land is slated to open early Spring 2019.

Mickey And Minnie's Runaway Railway - Disney's Hollywood Studios

This will be the very first attraction centered around Mickey and Minnie Mouse entirely.

The new ride replaces the beloved Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios and will be set inside the Chinese Theatre.

Disney promises surprise twists and turns and a new 2.5 D experience that requires no 3-D glasses!

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway opens 2019.

Tigris - Busch Gardens Tampa

A brand new tower launch roller coaster is coming to Buscg Gardens Tampa Bay and will throttle guests back and forth through the station until enough momentum has been built up to send riders around a massive tower loop.

The new ride will be located in the Stanleyville area of the park and replaces the previous Tidal Wave attraction.

Tigris is slated to open spring 2019.

Worth mentioning:

The Tron Rollercoaster construction is moving along, and that attraction is slated for a 2021 opening date at the Magic Kingdom.

Guardians Of The Galaxy roller coaster is also slated for a 2021 opening date at Epcot.

Ratatouille attraction is slated for a 2020 or 2021 opening date in the France Pavillion at Epcot as well.

The biggest rumor is centered around a 4th theme park for Universal Orlando Resort with rumored lands centered around Jurassic World, Fantastic Beasts/Harry Potter, Dreamworks animated films such as Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, How To Train Your Dragon, and more, and the most anticipated Nintendo land with attractions centered around Zelda, Mario Bros, Pokemon, Donkey Kong, and Kirby.

There's also a rumor of a Pokemon land taking over the current location of Woody Woodpecker's Kid Zone at Universal Studios Florida.

A Jurassic Park roller coaster is rumored for Islands of Adventure as markings have been found along the pathway infront of the Discovery Center.

A new SeaWorld Orlando roller coaster was leaked that will be family oriented and park executives did confirm that the coaster is a design they have seen.

Spaceship Earth at Epcot is rumored to close for roughly 2 years, while it recieves a massive overhaul replacing ride technology and updating ride scenes to fit more with the current times and the future.

Finally, Busch Gardens Tampa closed their wooden dueling coaster Gwazi many years ago, and the ride has sat still since. However, strong rumors indicate the park is going to refurbish it as an RMC hybrid coaster. You can see a leaked image here.
