Taylor Swift has penned quite a few songs in her career (all of them in fact) and one is really proving to be a stand alone classic.

"Lover" is the title track off her 7th studio album and since it's release, it's proven to be a fan-favorite.

From the imagery she creates with lines like "there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you dear, have I known you twenty seconds, or twenty years," to "I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you, i've loved you 3 summers now honey, now I want em' all."

The song is literally a description of a love story from introduction to walking down the aisle.

Hence, it's been getting a lot of wedding buzz lately.

So much so, that Taylor herself released a "first dance" remix.

Years from now when Swifites begin to tie the know, "Lover" will be the tune they request be their first dance.

However the song is doing more than just inspiring fans everywhere to use it as their first dance song.

It's reminding us that pop music isn't just shaking your assets and sick beats.

Pop music can be so much more than a bop. It can be a timeless classic that generations to come sing when Taylor is no longer singing to stadium sized crowds and Swifties are raising babies of their own.

Lover is the song that transcends a generation and defines this moment in music.

All I can say is I'm happy to live in a time when Taylor Swift is writing music.
