June 29, 2020

Seminole County joins the long list of central Florida counties requiring residents to wear face coverings while in public.

Orange and Osceola counties also have facial covering requirements in place as do most major metro areas in Florida including Daytona Beach, Tampa/St. Pete, most of South Florida and earlier this morning facial coverings were made mandatory in Jacksonville.

Seminole County officials released a statement earlier this afternoon with the mask mandate.

“Every person working, living, visiting or doing business in Seminole County is required to wear a face covering consistent with CDC guidelines while at all businesses, places of assembly and other places open to the public,” the executive order reads.

The requirement goes into effect on Wednesday, July 1st, 2020.
