Walt Disney World is currently giving each park a much needed facelift and reimagine in the case of two parks. Disney's Hollwood Studios and Epcot.

Hollywood Studios just opened Toy Story Land and will open Star Wars land within the next year and a half.

However, Epcot, which literally stands for "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow" is getting the attention next and MASSIVE changes are coming.

To start, 2 new rides are under construction, a roller coaster themed after Guardians of the Galaxy as well as a ride based on the film Rattoutille.

Now you can add Spaceship Earth, as this ride is rumored to close in 2020 and not reopen until Epcot's 40th anniversary in 2022 and will be essentially a brand new ride.

Everything up until the newsprint scene is rumored to remain, and everything after that will recieve new scenes and the peak of the ride where you are looking at the planet will recieve a new projection system.

No word on what date the ride is set to close, but we knew updates were coming to the attraction as during the D23 Expo, they mentioned the "overhaul" of Epcot would be extensive and leave nothing untouched.

Disney wants the park to be timeless and have that "Disney" touch.
