Is Universal Retheming "Jurassic Park" To "Jurassic World" At Islands Of Adventure?

Rumors suggest that Jurassic Park may be getting a much needed overhaul.

I didn't believe it at first, but now I've seen rumor after rumor of construction work starting at Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando Resort in the Jurassic Park section of the park.

This can only mean one thing... something new is coming.

Last week, Universal Studios Hollywood announced that their Jurassic Park attraction would go down for a period of time to recieve a Jurassic World overlay with new animitronics and a few restaurants would also get renovations.

However, the property in Orlando is MUCH larger and currently has 2 rides and plenty of restaurants and shops.

A few blogs are reporting that there is a rumor of the old Triceratops encounter being removed and a new roller coaster being built. The two rumors I keep hearing are a flying coaster or a wooden coaster.

Both would be welcome additions to the park that recently lost 2 coasters in The Dragon Challenge over in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

There's also talk that Orlando's Jurassic Park River Adventure will go down after the summer for a 9-month refurbishment and new animitronics based off the Jurassic World franchise.

While I'd be sad to see Jurassic Park go, I understand that Jurassic World is the evolution of the franchise to the younger generation.
