UPDATED: Applications For Orange County Residents $1000 Stimulus Package Have Been Temporarily Suspended

UPDATED (6/9/2020): Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said they will not wait until tomorrow to reopen the application portal. It will reopen again this morning at 8AM and accept 20,000 applications, instead of capping it at 2,000 and shutting down for the day.

If you've already gone through that Federal stimulus check, here's some good news if you're in Orlange County. However, that good news might have to wait until Wednesday.

Under the Federal Cares Act, Orange County has $243 million in refief funds to assist residents. Applications started being accepted this morning at 8 am and within the first few minutes, they reached 2000 applications and stopped accepting anymore until Wednesday at 8am.


So, get ready to apply once again right at 8 am on Wednesday morning! How do you know if you qualify?

According to Mayor Demings, Orange County residents can apply for a one-time $1000 stimulus check if you reside in the county, you or someone in your household lost their job during the pandemic, you and everyone in your household must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident and either pay rent or own a home in Orange County to qualify.
