The Most Popular Thanksgiving Main Courses And Side Dishes

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, so it's time to start planning out the menu this year. Are you serving what the rest of the country is serving or is your menu slightly different? Well, YouGov put together a survey asking people to name their three favorite Thanksgiving main courses and three favorite side dishes.

 

Here are the results for main courses :

 

 

1.  Turkey, 84% (I cook two, one roasted and one deep fried.)

2.  Ham, 56%

3.  Chicken, 32%

4.  Beef, 24%

5.  Lamb, 9%

12.  TIE:  Squash, Brussels sprouts, and collard greens, 5% (I absolutely love collards, but I've never even considered serving them on Thanksgiving. Until now!)

14.  TIE:  Glazed carrots, soup, and black-eyed peas, 3%
