I think one of the biggest blessings this year, is that even though we have to go through a pandemic, we still have the most favorite thing in Florida.

The sun. It's no secret that it's the reason many people move here. And we're blessed with the fact that even though mostly everything is closed down to 50% capacity, no one can stop you from going outside to enjoy some rays. FOR FREE. And let's be real, with the 4th of July coming up, we all know we'll be getting some sun.

And with Summer starting this past weekend, I think it's pretty important to remember your sunscreen. I have to lather 50SPF or over, since I'm fair skin, but I still get a bit sunburned.

I recently found some tips on which essential oiols are actually really good to relieve sunburns, and decided to share ith my best friends (YOU).

  • Lavender essential oil- If you apply a mixture with sanndalwood, Roman chamomile, and aloe vera gel, you'll find it really tones down your burn.

  • Benzoin essential oil - Mix this with Lavender oil and some white lotion to really soothe and soften the sunburn.

  • Helichrysum essential oil - This actually offers anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and anti-microbial benefits. Mix it with geranium oil, aloe vera and lavender to give a nice cooling effect.

  • Sandalwood essential oil - Mixing this with lavender, rose oil, and apricot kernel oil will help tone down burning and give relief.

Reading this from The Cookist, was like "OK so you're telling me to just slap all these thigns together.... ALL OF THEM. Gotcha" ....because lazy me would do this. BUT this is a huge help. And oils are really good for calming.
