The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have finally made their very first appearance with their baby boy this morning. And more recently have finally given us the name!

Welcome to the world Archie Harrison Mountbatten- Windsor. Of course this came shortly after he finally met his great grandmother, the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. The photo also shows Meghan's mother Doria who has been by her side for about a month now in England.

It really has some significant meanings too! Archie, is a shorter version of the name Archibald, meaning genuine and bold or brave. His middle name, Harrison, originated in the Middle Ages as the meaning “son of Henry” or “son of Harry.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion. Photo credit: Chris Allerton ©️SussexRoyal
